Albert was born 22 Nov 1836 in Providence, Rhode Island
Father; Albert G. Sprague
Born- @ 1805
Mother; Mary Fiske Sprague
Born- @1811
Albert attended The Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia,Pa. and graduated in 1859. He was married around this time to Ellen Tor F ?? They had two children but neither survived to long the only one that was named was

she was not listed as alive in 1900 US Census.
 
Albert enlisted on 26 May 1862 with the 10th Regiment RI Inf Co F&S as 1st Lieutenant and Asst Surgeon he was mustered out with the Regiment in Providence, Rhode Island on 01 Sept 1862. But he did not stay to long as he enlisted in the 7th Regiment RI Inf Co F&S on 22 Sept 1862 and remained with the 7th until the end of the war when he mustered out with the 7th on 09 Jun 1865.
After the war Albert and Ellen settled on Harris Avenue in Riverpoint, Rhode Island which at that time was in Warwick but is now part of West Warwick, Rhode Island.
Albert was a member of the Dr. John McGregor GAR Post #14 in Phoenix (a village of West Warwick which boarders Riverpoint).
 
At this time we do not have any Death information on Albert G. Sprague Jr.
